PRESS RELEASE
July 8, 2003
Stockholm, Sweden
MobileWizardry announces SHARK - a revolutionary development kit primarily focused on building applications for handheld computing. It allows any programmer to build, with elementary C/C++ programming knowledge to a number of handheld devices - namely, PalmOS®, Pocket PC, Smartphone 2002, Symbian Series 60 and Windows™ Platform (additional platforms can be provided on request).

Aaron Ardiri, co-founder of MobileWizardry says:

We have been working in the handheld computing space for just under half a decade now - and, it became evident that with the convergence of the handheld market; something of this nature was required in order to maintain a steady business with minimal development costs.

SHARK allows the developer to work solely under the Windows™ development environment (using Visual Studio) to develop the concept application using well established development kits without the need to get into the specialities of each handheld platform they need to target. The development of a simple abstraction layer has made it possible to build the basic building blocks required for multi-platform development, in addition to providing opportunities to have higher level libraries written on top of the abstraction layer function on more than one platform.

SHARK is a great accomplishment, and - over the next few months we intend to roll out applications using this development kit; releasing every platform at exactly the same time - we wont be spending time porting code from one platform to another; and be hasselled with the quality assurance dependencies that come with that.

Interested parties who wish to obtain more information on the SHARK development kit and sample demonstration projects should contact Mobile Wizardry with licensing enquiries and request further information. A sample development project (Cube3D) is available, with source code on the SHARK product page.
